Wian’s Birthday Party!

As you know today is Wian’s birthday. We woke him up this morning singing happy birthday and when he saw his presents he just couldnt stop smiling

Our families were here and it was great to catch up with everyone. The boys loved the jumping castle… but I must say I think their dad and our cousins liked it more lol. Here are some pics of the day…

We have a farm weekend coming up which I am really looking forward too, just the thought of the clean air, the green grass and the sound of the water makes me smile from ear to ear!

I know it is going to be simply… awesome!!

Wian is turning 3!!

There is a lot of excitement in our house at the moment as our baby is turning 3. Time truly goes by fast! This year Wian wants a fireman party so just about everything is blue, red and yellow

He just cannot wait and he asks us every day… “so just how many sleeps are left until my party??”

I can’t wait to see his face when he sees his cake, will make sure I get a picture of it!!

The last view days have been pretty hectic, having two sick children in the house. We have been battling with fever since Sunday night spiking to 40 degrees!

We steamed then used the nebulizer and I don’t think I have ever used so much Puma balsam but it really works and believe it or not but if you rub it under their feet the coughing stops. It’s terrible seeing them so sick but I hope from today that they will start feeling better.

I am so tired! I wish I had what they had instead of them!

Hopefully we’ll get some sleep tonight…

We had water damage in our house four weeks ago! I couldn’t believe it when I spoke to the lady living next to us and she said, there is water coming out of the back AND the front door!! My first thought was our pictures, my scrapbooks! Luckily they were all fine! Needless to say the rest of the house wasn’t…

But on the bright side our house is basically being re-done on the inside – kitchen included which is great! It’s just crazy to think how long it takes to get things done.

We took the boys to watch Toy Story 3 and they loved it. Frans and Gerhard giggled so hard at just about everything, they are so cute and of course their mom was the only mom crying… at the end of it all but come on what an ending. The boys just looked at me and said “what are you doing?!” I think that Toy Story cry was four weeks of frustration that just happened to come out – it’s not like I planned for it.

Besides lately it feels like the twins are all grown up! And even though it is amazing I can’t help but to feel a little sad that my baby boys are not babies anymore and that going to the zoo is not their idea of having fun anymore…

Luckily Wian LoVeS the zoo!! I am busy planning his birthday party and the theme this year is anything to do with a fireman or fireman’s truck. He calls them “brandmanne” instead of “brandweer manne” and his fire truck is by his side practically 24/7! We are looking forward to have fun at his birthday party and I have already started to buy prezzies… but then again who wouldn’t!

Lately we have been packing a lot!! We are moving in a few days and I must admit that it feels like we are surrounded by boxes… We just can not wait to move, the new house is absolutely beautiful and perfect for us.

Since I last blogged lots have happened… we said good bye to our friend Abrie who went back to the UK

My scrapbook weekend away

I went on a Scrapbook weekend this weekend and it was so much fun. The ladies that went with on the trip are such great people and we laughed so much!

We got there on Friday afternoon, sat on the deck and had coffee and wine… well I had water. I know it sound boring but I have really been good and have lost 2.5Kg so I am very proud of myself. There were muffins, cheesecake and PASTA! And I didn’t touch any of it!

We scrapbooked the whole of Saturday and when we were not scrapping we were outside in the sun with our feet… and some of us.. bums in the water. We scrapped until about 23:00 by lamp light! And then we were off to bed.

It was so great to be home again, I really missed the boys so much not even talking about Frans Shame, when we got home he said to me that he wants to hug me but he is scared he just might hurt me if he squeezes to hard! And he did lol

All of us are going to put our photos together and then I will post some. Have you ever showered outside in the mountains with the blue sky above you and the sun shining on your face!! It was awesome, can’t wait for the next one!

Our house is sold!!

Just had to blog about this!!

We got the news this morning… our HOUSE is SOLD!! I couldn’t believe it! It is actually so funny but Gerhard ask me this morning “so mom when will our house be sold” and I said maybe today or tomorrow :)

Frans and I went out for lunch and both of us are still so shocked! Shame, he just said we better start packing and it’s true we must. We can not wait to tell the children!
